Compared to LBS grooved drum, the sleeves can be easily installed on large reel if your reel can not be replaced. When you face the situation that if you replace the drum, you have to pay a lot. however, the LBS split -sleeves syatem can not only ensure that wire rope wrapped aroud a hoist drum in multilayers continues to spool totally smoothly, but also avoid your extra spending.
The LBS split-sleeve system composed of a pair of outer shells that are bolted or welded onto a smooth drum to provide a grooving pattern. Either helical or LBS parallel groove can be carved into the sleeves.As with all LBS drums, the grooving in split sleeves is engineered to match the specific rope construction, diameter and length, and to suit the application.
